Update

Okay so I am not that great at keeping up to date with this blogging stuff!
So what's been happening? Well I have had a weekend out in Glasgow for my friends henny. We started it off by Train from Montrose, went shopping in the City in the afternoon then in the evening the blonde wigs came out (I hated mine as it was a replacement for mine, as it never came in time and this was not an option according to host Debbie!) and we went to the Italian Kitchen for a meal. Then the bars and clubs, finishing off in a club called Jumpin Jacks. this is where I bumped into a soap star, (all be it he is from a Scottish soap - River City). So here is Shell Suit Bob and Me. By the way I look smaller than him in the picture but I was crouching down as he is a short guy.
All the girls with their wigs on and Debbie the bride to be with her Tiara and wig, she is so photogenic.

Sneeky Preview of New Chipboard Designs

I have just ordered some fabby, scrummy, lush chipboard designs. They will be due in the shop next week, and I think they will be very popular as they have not been available in the UK until now. I am so excited. For those of you who have never used chipboard before and are thinking what can I use them for? Well how about painting them, cover them with paper, add jewels, ribbons, fibres to them, leave them bare, put them on your scrap book pages, onto cards, altered projects, the list is endless. Ok here is sneak peek of what's to come... Don't you just love them!

The Hilton Piccys

Okay so maybe Stitches was a bit of a let down but staying at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham certanly was'nt! I had a ball! After a long day at the show how great is it to relax, eat nice food, have nice wine, and great company. And at 4am on the Sunday morning who did I meet, only ex Eastenders Actor in the lounge, namely Shaun Williamson aka Barry Evans. What a really nice guy he is, we sat and had a chat and talked about his visit to Scotland and how he does not really want any of his children going into acting. I guess being an actor is not all that it's made out to be..

Stitches Trade Show

Well it has taken me a whole week to get this done. Tut Tut!

The trade show has been and gone and I must say that it was disappointing. There were a few things that I liked, but on the whole there was nothing that really jumped out at me this year. I did a few workshops and the only one that I really enjoyed was a Jewellery making one. I had never touched anything to with making your own Jewellery, and I was totally hooked. I am looking into getting a stand in the shop which will have findings, beads, and tools for the Jewellery makers out there in the crafting world.
I watched a demonstration with Tim Holtz and I really enjoyed that. I have never really tried distressing inks, but I really liked the effects of them and the way that Tim uses them.

Valentines Day

Valentines Day is just a few days away. I made two cards, the first one is for Liam to give to a girl he likes in his class (I was promptly reminded to make it this morning) and the second one is for my Husband Brian. I was inspired to make this one after reading A Bit East Blog. I just love Keisha's work, it's so delicate and fresh.

Decopatched Jewellery

I saw these blank wooden bangles and I just had to have them in the shop. I knew what I was going to do with them. I have decorated this one using paper from the Decopatch range. I did add a few coats of Decopatch varnish to toughen it up.
Hardly any paper was used to make myself a funky new bangle, i think it's quite cool!
