Shop Up For Sale

With having a long talk with my hubby and my boys, it has been decided that the B+M side of Craftspirations is going to be up for sale. It went on the market on Friday last week. I have been debating this for a while now and I really want to concentrate on the website side of my business. I am looking at stocking in a more diverse selection of products in the future. I would like to get more into the mixed media and altered arts as well as more scrapbooking goodies. I also have a few things up my sleeves for the near future too, with my friend Sally. So watch this space.

Dry Felting

I had heard of this dry felting and saw this in my local haberdashery store. Last week I thought I am going to buy some of this stuff and see what I can make from it. I managed to make a few leaves and a flower. I thought for my first attempt it was not so bad. I think the trick is to keep turning the wool over and over until you think it is tightly fused togather into your desired shape. It is very theraputic sitting stabbing the wool into the blue foam mat. I feel more designs coming on once I get the hang of it.

Decopatch Competition

Decopatch were doing a retailers competition. You had to send in a photo of your shop window display which contained items that had been decorated with decopatch products. So I thought what have I got to loose. The first prize was for £1000 of decopatch products, So I sent in my picture.
I recieved a letter along with a box full of goodies today saying that I was not one of their finalists but as a thank you I got a box full of goodies from them for participating. How cool was that!! I am well chuffed and now I am thinking what paper will the heart box be covered in.

My Boys

I really can't believe how much my boys are growing up. They are such good boys (well most of the time). They get on well together and have such caring natures. I am so blessed and lucky to have them. Sean the oldest will be 13 on the 1st Aug and Liam will be 11 on the 24th Aug. I just love these recent photos of them that I had to share.
